More close-up bunnies with a wide angle lens

I promised a cute Brinco picture, but I couldn't find the exact one I was looking for. It's on John's computer, so that's like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Here are some others that are pretty close:

Brinco 1
Brinco 2

He's a pretty goofy rabbit.

And I just couldn't resist posting this one:

Treat Time!

Cinnamon and Brinco had a bunny adventure a couple of weeks ago when their former foster mom Janet bunnysat them for the weekend. Although they seemed a little spotty with their litterbox habits, Janet said they were well-behaved. Once, she was working with a plastic mattress cover, and the two little brats thought she was crinkling a plastic craisin bag. When Janet looked over, Cinnamon and Brinco were at the front of the fence, noses wiggling like mad. I think she ended up giving them craisins. Well, could you resist them?

Cinnamon's debut video

As promised, the Cinnamon video. I have it in two formats:

MPG (3.8 MB)
Windows Media (865 KB)

I happened to catch a rare running/binkying moment. It doesn't involve a lot of leaping, unlike many of her binky sessions, but I think the happy head flap more than makes up for that. Yes, for those of you unfamiliar with bunnies, that head flapping (complete with ears) is a "half binky" which means the bunny is feeling pretty good about life.

In other news, I'm currently taking care of a trio of foster girls, so I've had to divide my time between the two sets of bunnies. I'm enjoying the fostering experience a lot, but these bunnies are a lot more work than my two (who are litter trained). They also binky a lot more and one of them even gives me bunny kisses. Awwwww.

As for C&B, Cinnamon has taken to lying on the air conditioning vent on the floor. And by that, I mean that she dead bunny flops (or attempts to) at least half the time. It's not extremely hot in there, but she does have a lot of dense fur, and she's also kind of a prima donna. In case you didn't figure that out yet. Unfortunately, lying on the vent wasn't quite good enough for her, so she thought it would be fun to grab a corner of the vent cover and fling it to the side. And then stick her nose in the vent hole. That's all we need -- a bunny in the vent. I'd say that she couldn't fit, but she managed to squeeze around the back of the cage, so who knows. Obviously, we're trying to train her not to do this.

Brinco is getting better about letting us pet him. As long as he is relaxed -- stretched out or flopped on his side -- he likes to have his head petted. I have a cute picture of him that I'll have to post tomorrow as well.

Brief update

Never fear, everyone -- this blog is still up and running. And so are the rabbits. I will be posting in more detail tonight, including an awesome video of Cinnamon doing a little bit of running and binkying. Stay tuned!
