Happy bunnies

The bunnies and I are still doing great. It's been a really good couple of weeks for us.

First of all, I managed to capture some awesome pictures of the dead bunny flop with both of the bunnies:

Dead bunny Cinnamon
Dead bunny Brinco

I've been taking lots of pictures with our smaller digital camera, since that one isn't as intimidating. I'll post more as I edit them.

We went to our first Bunny Lovers Picnic last weekend. The flyer said to bring bunny pictures. I think we went a little overboard -- most people had one or two pictures, but we had about a billion. I updated everyone on how the bunnies were doing. It was fun (in spite of the rain).

We also had the first vet appointment on Wednesday. I've been meaning to get them in for a basic checkup, but I had to speed up the process when I noticed a sore on the back of Brinco's neck. A bite-sized sore. It turns out that the bunnies are both fine and healthy (although Cinnamon may be a little overweight), and the sore was just a small abrasion. It didn't even break the skin. I was relieved!

Last night I was sitting on the couch recapping. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Cinnamon leap straight up in the air. Then she ran around in small circles, leaping periodically. She was full of it. She ran in short bursts, jumping and twisting. It was so cute. I think that was happy bunny behavior.

Speaking of happy bunnies, Cinnamon has REALLY warmed up to me. She'll let me pet her pretty much anytime without shying away. When I do the full pet along her cheeks, pulling her ears back, she sinks to the floor. Her feet are stretched out in front, so I don't think it's a scared posture. She's even done some purring when I do the full ear pet or when I pet just her nose. I'm still working on Brinco, who doesn't let me even touch him unless he's eating a carrot. Hopefully he'll warm up to me, too.

Cinnamon aka Satan

Now that Cinnamon is much more comfortable with me, I think she's trying to figure out whether I'm a big bunny or a big chew toy. I was sitting on the floor with a bowl of veggies, when Cinnamon came up to me, sniffing me innocently. Next thing I knew, I had bunny teeth embedded in my side fat. I don't think she was attacking me. Though that's certainly not the first time she's sampled a taste of my flesh. But it was the most painful time. So Cinnamon got in a little trouble. She just needs to learn her limits.

I took some pictures last night. Here are a few, including one of their cage mansion:
