Nail trimming

So. We've had a few litterbox incidents during the last week involving digging. The worst (until yesterday) was all the wood pellets dug out of the box right after I changed them. Well, yesterday at noon, we checked on the bunnies only to find one litterbox in the middle of the floor (it's usually in the cage) and the other one in the middle of the cage. Poop and litter everywhere. A nice pee puddle in the center of the floor, because hey -- there was technically litter there. *sigh*

My theory is long bunny nails. It's been a month and a half. So, against the bunnies' wishes, they both got their nails good and trimmed yesterday. No problems yet.

Here are some pictures of them looking cute and innocent. We know the truth though, don't we?

many people will tell you that there is a suspected link between pine litter and lung cancer in rabbits. contrary to popular belief there has been no formal study on the matter...but our feeling is better safe than sorry

we use carefresh, but there are many different viable alternatives...ask your vet (assuming s/he's a rabbit specialist)
